We’re Committed to Doing More with Mentoring
What a year 2017 has been. Just when we think people might get tired of us talking about mentoring, we see an increased need for and interest in business mentoring software. We are extremely grateful to everyone who advocates for this important practice, and we are honored by your trust to bring you the best there is to have in mentoring software and services.
Here are some of our magical mentoring moments from 2017 in case you missed anything.
From discovering the factors that you need to consider when designing mentoring programs, to what to look for in mentoring software, to learning how to build a business case for mentoring, our webinars offered practical advice and caused people to think differently about mentoring. You can catch recordings of our webinars here. Our attendees brought energy and life and plenty of opinions to our events, making them lively interactions. We hope you can join us for one in 2018!
We also published new eBooks on important mentoring topics, such as How to Design a Mentoring Program and 4 Phrases to Use in Mentoring. Download any of our free eBooks today to expand your mentoring library. We have plans for new topics in 2018, so stay tuned!
Articles and Blogs
Looking for some good reading material to while away the hours over the holidays? Why not dig into some of our articles and blogs from this year? We are thrilled to have been published in Chief Learning Officer, Training Journal, Training Industry, and more throughout 2017. And we are so very grateful to our clients who contributed to our articles and helped bring mentoring to life with their stories.
Out of our many blog posts this year, there were a few that stood out in the unofficial popularity contest. Our most popular blog of 2017 asked the question: “Does Mentoring Software Make Mentoring Impersonal?” Spoiler alert: The answer is no! Our readers also enjoyed “5 Mentoring Program Pitfalls” and “Social Learning Hasn’t Worked? Try Mentoring” by Chris Browning, and “My Mentoring Mantra” by yours truly. In case you can’t tell, we really enjoy writing these blogs and sharing our insights, ideas, and inspirations with you. Thanks for reading them!
Expanded Services and Award-winning Software
Speaking of a good article, be sure to check out Randy Emelo’s article “Black Belt Mentors” published in Chief Learning Officer magazine. It gives an inside look at how River can help you conduct mentor certification and training, and features a great interview with Gus Crosetto, Chief Learning Officer at the U.S. Government Accountability Office. We seem to have struck a chord with clients in search of training and support for their mentees and mentors. From our certification process to our strategic consulting, companies are coming to the experts at River to help them do more with mentoring.
We also had the great fortune of winning a gold Brandon Hall Group Excellence in Leadership Development Award with our friends at Sodexo. We won in the category of Best Advance in Coaching and Mentoring for Sodexo’s Spirit of Mentoring Program—the only gold award given in the category this year! You can learn more about Sodexo’s program in this recorded webinar. It is well worth the time.
And late-breaking news…River just won a silver Brandon Hall Group Excellence in Technology Award for Best Advance in Online Mentoring Tools. Wow! We are so honored and thrilled by this recognition. Even more to be grateful for!
We feel incredibly blessed with the year we’ve had, and are grateful to our amazing clients, committed advocates, and hard-working employees. If 2017 has taught us anything, it’s that the appetite for mentoring is still going strong. We can’t wait to see what 2018 has in store!
