An Update on 2015 at River

Year in review

Talk about timing flying! This year seemed to go by even more quickly than usual. Maybe that’s because we had so much keeping us busy! Here are a few highlights in case you missed anything.

Modern MentoringModern Mentoring made its debut.
We’re so proud of our very own Randy Emelo on having his first book published! Modern Mentoring is a bona fide hit. Read a sample chapter here to see what all the hoopla is about.

And with a hit book comes a book tour, of course!
While not a traditional book tour, Randy has been busy making the rounds to conferences large and small all over the world to speak and share River’s vision of what mentoring can and should be. He had the great privilege of speaking at the ATD International Conference in May, as well as at the ATD Asia-Pacific Conference (during a typhoon no less), the ATD Chapter Leaders Conference, and at regional ATD chapter events. It was an exciting year!

New services from River that warm our consulting hearts.
Our rich history in consulting has come full circle this year as we reinvigorated our services offerings. From strategic consulting and outsourced program administration, to mentee and mentor training and social learning manager certification, we are thrilled to offer our clients one-of-a-kind solutions that compliment their River software purchase.

2015writingsHey, did you see that new blog…?
We’ve been a writing machine around here! From blogs and articles to eBooks and webinars (hey, we have to write the slides, so that counts as writing, right?), we’ve been churning out quality content at a furious pace. Some of our most popular items this year were a post by Randy on SMART goals being dumb, an eBook about how to start a mentoring revolution, and a heartfelt post from Laura Francis on character as a key piece of corporate culture (hey, I’m writing this blog, so I get to point to my post).

Brandon Hall AwardWe’d like to thank…you!
We received two Brandon Hall Group awards of excellence in 2015, and we couldn’t have done it without you! We are honored to have won a gold award with our friends at Xerox for Best Unique or Innovative Learning and Development Program for their use of River within their Xerox Services University. And breaking news alert…Brandon Hall Group just announced the winners of their 2015 Excellence in Technology awards and we are honored to have won silver for Best Advance in Social Learning Technology for our latest enhancements to River! Thanks for the kudos!

Phew! That was a lot of information to share, and I barely scratched the surface. Be sure to check out our Resources section on our website to see all the new articles, blogs, recorded webinars and more that we have to offer. It’s all free! Just one way we can say “thank you” for your continued interest in mentoring, social learning, and in all the things River can do for you. We would not be here without you.

From all of us at River…happy holidays and may 2016 bring you great happiness and success!
