This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on River’s corporate web site and to all specific custom knowledge sharing web sites uniquely configured at our Client’s direction according to their internal learning programs.


River is a leading provider of custom configured enterprise social learning and knowledge sharing software used by private businesses, government entities, and their employees. The privacy of the information entrusted to us is very important. In accordance with our commitment to protect personal privacy, River adheres to the principles of the U.S.-EU Safe Harbor Framework and the U.S.-Swiss Safe Harbor Framework as developed by the U.S. Department of Commerce in consultation with the European Commission and Switzerland. The seven principles and fifteen Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) referred to in this policy constitute the U.S.-EU Safe Harbor Framework and the U.S.-Swiss Safe Harbor Framework. This policy outlines how River treats all Client information specifically provided to River to establish and support a Client configured River web site. We assure all Clients that we only use the information provided to us for legitimate business reasons directed by you and related to supporting you and your River web site.

River only collects the information the Client requires to run an effective web-based knowledge sharing program, for example:
* Contact information
* Current job specific information
* Information about your education, experience, and knowledge
* Information about your learning and development needs


(2) Information about web site visits

We may collect information about your computer and your visits to this web site such as your IP address, geographical location, browser type, referral source, length of visit, and number of page views. We will use this information only in the administration of this web site and to improve the web site's usability. Personal information submitted on any Client web site will only be used for legitimate business reasons directed by our Client and related to supporting our Client’s configured River web site and knowledge sharing program.
