The year was 1998 and technological advancements were prolific. The Internet was in its infancy, and people still got a rush of excitement when they heard "You've got mail." We set out to make a difference and to help people learn and develop at work. What we created was Open Mentoring, which would one day be known as River.
Our company was formerly known as Triple Creek. We pioneered e-mentoring in the late 1990s and released Open Mentoring®, the first commercially available dedicated web-based mentoring process in the early 2000s.
Over the years we have continued to advance innovations in web-based mentoring and collaborative learning.
